Long, loooong weekend. I spent more hours dancing than care to count. I kept three fellow dancers in my living room. How often do people open up their homes to complete strangers simply because they all share a common interest?
Where else but at a Lindy Exchange would you encounter the following situation? I was driving home late on Friday night, along with 2 complete strangers and 2 near-strangers. I dropped the 2 complete strangers off at a house. This house contained 2 people that the strangers had barely met, and several other people they had never met. Everyone in the house was asleep. They walked in the unlocked door of this strange house, and (careful not to disturb anyone) went to sleep. The only common thread between all of these strangers is the love of dancing.
It's just like a long time ago, when people would open up their homes to travelers because that's what you were supposed to do.
