I've been a bit neglectful of posting lately. Or rather, I've been holding off on posting. I've had nothing to say lately except whining and complaining about how stressed and sick I am. I'm sure those of you who know me have heard enough of that from me already...
Today was better. The guy at Mallinckrodt asked if I was done with classes for the day. I told him yes, and he said I should let my hair down. I assumed he meant this in a figurative manner, so I smiled and nodded and told him I would go home and relax.
"You hear what I said?"
"What, about letting my hair down?"
It became clear that he did not intend to give me my food until I complied.
"Now, shake your head. Smile!"
Only then did I receive my mashed potatoes. A little odd, on the whole, but it brightened my day.
Later on at the grocery store I ran into Geoff and tried to convince him to purchase a trashy romance novel. You know, the kind with a shirtless man on the cover who is holding a woman that has apparently lost control of her neck muscles.
However, I think the best part of my day was when I turned in a highly technical, serious, electrical engineering lab report containing the sentence:
"In the end, the chicken-waving was to no avail."
