Wow. People can be spectacularly dumb sometimes.
Sound from the street carries fairly well through my window. And the sounds I just heard went something like vroooom VROOOOOM VROOM skreeeeeeeee-BANG! I rushed to my window to see how bad the accident was, and strangely saw only one car. Then I reflected upon the volume of the vrooom-ing that preceded the BANG! and realized that someone was actually dumb enough to drive very very fast down a street that they'd never been on before. So fast, in fact, that they failed to notice that my street ends just past my apartment. Conveniently, it ends with a streetlight. BANG.
